Amy Stewart

Amy Stewart, M.Ed.

Amy is an experienced educator with a diverse background spanning elementary and secondary education. She has served as a teacher, school counselor, and campus administrator, earning recognition as the National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. Her dedication to student success led her to roles as a Counselor Consultant and School Improvement Coordinator at Region 8 ESC, where she supported districts in fostering positive learning environments.

Currently, Amy serves as a District Coach with Emergent Tree, where she helps schools implement effective behavioral and trauma-informed practices. She holds multiple certifications, including teacher, counselor, principal, and superintendent, and she has specialized certification as a trauma and crisis specialist.

She is also a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Leadership, focusing on Educational Policy and School Improvement. Her passion lies in equipping educators with the tools to create supportive, inclusive, and trauma-informed schools that empower students and staff.

Nicole Gonzales

Nicole Gonzales

Principal, Mayfair Elementary
Comal ISD 

Nicole currently serves as the principal of Mayfair Elementary, Comal ISD’s newest elementary school, opening in August 2025. With over a decade of education experience, she has served as an assistant principal in Comal ISD and an educator in Austin ISD. 

She is passionate about creating meaningful traditions and learning experiences with students, staff, parents, and the community. Her goal is cultivating a supportive and effective school culture that empowers students and educators to positively impact the world. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University. Nicole and her husband, Travis, have a four-year-old daughter, Scarlett, who keeps them on their toes and fills their lives with joy.
